Metta is from the Pali language, meaning “good will” or “lovingkindness.”
The Metta Prayer is designed to intentionalize good wishes and a sense of benevolence for oneself and others. Metta prayer is a way to let the light in when feeling like you don’t know what to do with all the troubles and sadness that surround us. It is a prayer for self-compassion and compassion for others, even our enemies. |
