Dear Friends of Transformations,
Hidden in each beginning is the seed of an ending, the natural conclusion of something into which much energy has been poured and from which much has emerged.
After significant conversation, prayer and discernment, it has been mutually agreed that the time is ripe to naturally conclude the work of Transformations Spirituality Center after 25 years of dedicated service. Continued challenges such as the loss of a physical ministry space, ongoing COVID gathering restrictions on meeting in person, and the unsustainable economics of online offerings have left us devoid of options for a sustainable future.
We are grateful to have been part of shaping and sharing opportunities for spiritual growth for these many years. Through retreats, programs, speakers, and spiritual direction thousands have been bolstered in holding the hope that is of God, and that draws us to the future regardless of surface conditions. It has been an honor to be able to journey with the remarkable people from many traditions who have united through Transformations. Your friendship, honesty and support have been a true blessing.
Some work will continue. Sisters of St Joseph who are spiritual directors will continue to meet with those seeking to better understand the Holy in their lives. The Congregation of St. Joseph will continue to offer spiritual resources and some programming online which you can learn of at www.csjoseph.org/our-spirituality/. The Congregation will also continue to reach out to community partners in addressing injustice in its many forms. Sisters will continue to pray for you, their “dear neighbor,” as they have since beginning ministry here in 1889.
Paradoxically, every ending also holds the seed of a new beginning. We pray that, in the words of John O’Donohue, we are all able to “imagine a realm beyond ending where all that has unfolded is not canceled or lost, but where the spirit-depths of it are already arriving home.”
