At-Home Retreats

Add a retreat to your lifestyle with an At-Home Retreat. This retreat experience can be done in the comfort of your own home and in the context of your everyday life. Although adaptable to your own pace, the retreat usually spans six to eight months in which you meet with a retreat director at least twice monthly and set aside daily prayer time.

The At-Home Retreat format is very popular. It can begin at any time, but if begun in September the themes for prayer tend to coincide with the liturgical year.

To learn more about at-home retreats contact Sr. Gertrude Maurer at info@transformationscenter.org or 269-381-6290 ext. 285.

logoheader"My art is the expression of my reactions to my life experience by finding joy in the contrast of light and color to darkness. As I focused and connected with my painting in a more intuitive way, in a style that was more abstract, an unconscious symbolism having to do with the resurfacing of memories: good and bad, hidden and uncovered, started to emerge in what I have called the Fragments series. This symbolism has become a nonverbal language for me that continues to express this resurfacing of memories."

Her work can be found in major corporate locations such as Grant Thornton in Connecticut and many private collections throughout the country. She has received numerous awards for her artwork in juried shows as well as the Medallion of Excellence from the Kalamazoo Public Education Foundation for outstanding art teaching.
